Media Idea # 5...
My mom is the coolest lady I know. It would be awesome to do a little documentary about her life and follow her around for a day. The documentary would start out with her talking about her life growing up then about the things she went through in order to become the successful woman she is today. My mom is really funny so this wouldn't be one of those sad stories with the lady crying and talking about all her struggles in life. She would talk about all the good times she had as a child, raising her two children, and just about life in general.

I knew you knew somebody interesting - your mom! It would be helpful if you shared some of the things that makes your mom successful or what her struggles were. It raises the subject to a more specific level and goes beyond the generic - my mom is great - concept. Think about your audience and educate them.
